At least he's got the guts

"In my life, I have known great joy and great sorrow. And now I know great shame." were the words
of this vietnam war decorated Congressman (Randy "Duke" Cunningham). He did bad, but at least he's
got the guts to confess it all. Here in my country we see plenty of Congressmen who end up in prison for the same charges (Accepting Bribes) but no one has had the guts to confess it. He's got to pay
his deus with society, but at least he cleans his conscience in a good way. We all have our own deeds and we all have our own ways of cleaning our conscience. Better not to have to, but when you come to end up in such a situation, bravery is better.

Two months

It's been two months since it happened, and five months since I saw it.
Two months of doom after my life was about to end for nothing, and now I see it.
Two months of disaster, patience and craziness of my subdued ego.
I've come to think of it lately that it may have been one of the
worst things in my whole life, but also one of the best because it
changed many of the customs I had and it changed the way I see life.
I sincerely expect them to be fine. I forgive them all the bad words
and offenses they did to me. I also forgive all this people who turned
their backs to me. I have to thank all people who remained by my side and
now I consider my true friends. Last thing I am to say today of the subject
is an appology to all people who I bothered. It was not my intention
to bother them, I just needed some support and I took it even if they didn't
understand what I was doing.

Ruminations on the key to happiness

After reading some remarks from a friend of mine, I started to wonder if there is
such a thing as a key to happiness. In her remark she stated that success was
certainly not such a key. But I think that is not quite accurate.

According to the dictionary, success is "The achievement of something desired,
planned, or attempted". So, in order for something to be a success, it must be
desired, planned or attempted. All those verbs denote intention, and as such,
they require will. Hence, success is not possible without a mind which sees it
as such.

On the other hand, to acomplish a goal may or may not lead to happiness. It
completely depends on the goal and the mind that wishes that goal. For instance,
those who want to harm others, can succeed and then feel remorse and sadness
for their actions. As can be seen, success is not necessarily the path to happiness.

Now, you don't need to be happy to be able to succeed. You can succeed
whether you're happy or not. However, if you're happy, you can succeed in an
easier way in some situations. Consequently, happiness can be the key to success but it
not necessarily is.

We can then say: "Success is not necessarily the key to happiness, but happiness
can be the key to success."

Quoting Paramananda, "Happiness is a state of mind,
not something that can be taken from others or from the outside world".
If you are to find a key to happiness, then start by looking inside
yourself: There you may find it.

Which goals do you pursue? May be happiness is in the path
rather than in the achievement of a goal . . . then try to succeed in your
goals and always have enough goals and enough paths to have fun forever.

Christian Faith shows Love as the possible path to salvation. Does love lead
to happiness? We all know that it is not always true, at least, in the short
term. However, the promise of salvation states that there is happiness beyond
our human lives. So, if you are Christian, you should trust your faith and
choose a path of Love to guarantee happiness someday. Trully you will.
If you are not Christian you can consider another point of view. Love leads
to suffering many times, but you can be happy at least to find that you are
alive and you know that you are alive because you feel, because you love.
If you love, you manifest your love in many different kinds of creative experiences
that can make you happy, and love and the good things you do in its name
will make you feel good, and feel happy. If you want a key to happiness, you
can find it in Love, love for the living, love for the dead, love for every
single stone, and every single face. Let us love everybody and manifest it in
our lives and our actions.

Beware of the "Guaya"

If you ever come to go to the T zone or Chamois, be careful if you order a Guaya. The Guaya is a sweet drink composed of 9 different white drinks. In the beginning you don't feel its effects. However, after a while you can't even walk. The worst part is the hangover, the worst I've ever felt in my whole life. Guayas are cool, if you go with your girlfriend both can drink half of it and feel just fine. Never ever order two or more for just you, because you will end up like slug on the floor with no memory of your actions.

Hate hypocrisy

I am tired of that much hypocrisy!!!. People should tell the things just like they are!
But much of them choose to hide behind whatever they can to feel more "urbane". But they aren't
urbane!!! they're just hypocrites!!! Thanks to you all good people who are able to tell the truth!!!

How I found her

I found her below the rain in the step of the dark mountain, like a
fancy.
I was about to continue my way ignoring her, but then I realized
my umbrella was fit for two. I invited her and she accepted.
We where going to the same place, and it felt good. I didn't realize
yet how beautiful she was and what a good smile and sight she had.
I refused to let her go away forever, so I got her mail and she got
mine. We then met next day. She was radiant, wearing a special
glow in her teeth and eyes, and looking really really good, I told her.
I also told her I liked her eyes and smile. I realized then that
there was opportunity in this world for a couple of lonely souls, of
lonely hearts. I tell no more for now. I will only write that
I really liked her. I liked her more than I liked anyone I've met
before. I like her eyes, and her body and her skin and hands and smile.
Good for luck to play that tricks with my life. Thanks the Lord for
letting me know how life goes on, even if this is not to continue.

Night remainds

And now I come to remember with a smile upon my face all that came to pass that 9th of November of 2002. The sun above our heads, the sea around us in the limit of that port, the air blowing softly upon our faces and the flavor of her lips that mixed with those of mine in harmony like if they had been chosen by destiny to be together. It was not real, I've come to realize. But it felt good.

Honey eyes

Honey eyes come and cross by our milk sides
honey eyes are scarce but come to pass by our ways sometimes
honey eyes I've met today going left in front of me by the hall's wall
honey eyes crossed in black dress and brown hair and met those eyes of mine

Hope to find them again soon
and know them well for souls shared tonight a good sight

May our eyes meet again soon
may our times coincide soon too
for time walks, runs, rides fast, fast away
and I think I'd like to share my time with her.

Words are like spears

Sometimes we use words that come from our minds and with them we hurt people we love.
So, we've gotta be careful with what we say, for the kind of wounds that we may open,
may be difficult to close.

Weekend adventures

Well, This weekend has been good. I dated a very special lady. Everything worked just fine.
So, I dedicate to her that song I posted last week "Don" from "Miranda" (http://gralfcamusic.blogspot.com).

Well, what else? ok. I ate jaiba which is a species of big crab. I seriously recomend it with
some lemon and a good white wine (I love bordeaux).

I think we have to live well, because life is so short and it scapes from us like sand between our
hands. We need to grow our minds and our bodies, but also our souls and spirits. So , my reflection
for this week is : Live your lives well, work, talk to people and exercise. And when doing all those
things, have fun and try to make it as good as you can, for you don't know when are you
going to leave this place.

As my grandpa used to tell

Work not only dignifies: it also keeps our minds busy ...

No human can take from us what we've already lived
